Damon is a professional licensed immigration adviser in New Zealand who is competent in all aspects of immigration law, and specializes in:

- Complaints regarding temporary decisions
Damon is a well regarded expert in Immigration New Zealand policy, process and procedural fairness. Damon is able to submit robust IPT appeals and If you have recently had an adverse temporary decision on-shore, Damon may be able to submit a complaint on your behalf. Damon has a history of obtaining positive outcomes for his clients as a result of complaints to INZ, such as; reconsideration of adverse health, character and bona fide assessments, and reconsideration of applications where INZ processes had miscarried.
Damon was born in the south island city of Christchurch and lived most of his life in the picturesque Taupo region. Damon then moved to Auckland where he studied Information Technology and Electronics at Auckland University of Technology. Damon’s background in Information Technology spans over a decade and he has carried his wealth of experience from IT over to Immigration Advice. Damon has worked in a large multi-national corporation as well as local businesses involved in the education and import sectors.
Damon has also managed large and complex IT projects and is able to apply the same planning and organisation strategies to Immigration cases.
Damon also currently sits as a Director of the New Zealand Association of Migration & Investment.
Since becoming licensed in 2013 Damon counts among his career achievements;
- Director of NZAMI – August 2016 to August 2018.
- NZAMI Policy Committee Vice Chair – August 2017 to August 2018.
- Attendee/Contributor – INZ Technical Reference Group 2018.

Damon has studied:
- Legal and Social Environment of Business: An introduction to the current New Zealand business environment including the nature of the relationships between business organisations, Maori and other key stakeholders, ethical business decision making, the legal and social significance of the Treaty of Waitangi for business operations (Massey).
- Immigration Law and Practice: A study of the law and practice of immigration in New Zealand including; the legal framework and principles, government policies and laws regulating both immigration and immigration advisers in New Zealand (Massey).
- Legal System: An introduction to the New Zealand legal system; the nature, functions and sources of law; the relationship between law, and society; nga tikanga Maori; legal institutions and taxonomies including the role of the courts. (AUT).
- Legal Reasoning and Writing: Examines the judicial process and legal reasoning including case analysis and statutory interpretation; and to introduce the essential skills of critical reasoning, legal writing, problem solving, mooting and advocacy. (AUT).
- Graduate Certificate in New Zealand Immigration Advice; Damon is part of the first group of people in the world to be awarded the Graduate Certificate in New Zealand Immigration Advice. “The programme was developed by Bay of Plenty Polytechnic in collaboration with the University of Waikato in New Zealand, Victoria University in Australia and the Immigration Advisers Authority to meet New Zealand immigration adviser licensing requirements.” – Bay of Plenty Polytechnic

Anson Obtained a BBus in Accounting from AUT.
Anson jointed Swiftvisa in 2016. Anson has experience working in various industries in New Zealand before joining our team. He completed his high school and tertiary study in New Zealand and successfully obtained a bachelor of business degree from Auckland University of Technology.
Anson obtained his Immigration Adviser Licence in July 2019 and is provisionally licensed.
